The District Council says: We’re updating our domestic abuse policy and want your feedback.

Domestic abuse policy

The policy sets out the council’s commitment to supporting people affected by domestic abuse. The draft reflects the council’s belief that no one should live in fear of violence or abuse. It outlines actions the council will take to respond to reports of domestic abuse, including:

Timely intervention

Tailored support for individuals

Partnership working to help protect victims

Draft policy: Before the policy is enters the formal decision-making process, we are asking all residents to share their views. We’d appreciate feedback on whether the policy meets expectations and will help improve the safety of people affected by domestic abuse through prompt reporting and a rapid response .Read the draft domestic abuse policy (pdf 349KB)

Have your say: Anyone wishing to comment on the draft policy is asked to share their thoughts, questions or feedback by Monday 15 June 2026.Comments can be sent to email safeguardingreview@eppingforestdc.gov.uk.
